Dr. Yolanda Yavor
Dr. Yolanda Yavor is a lecturer on the Koran and early Islamic tradition at Oranim College, the Open University, and the Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at Shalem College. A scholar of the interactions between Christian, Jewish, and early Islamic holy scriptures, she completed her doctoral studies as part of the Biblia Arabica project, a research consortium that charts ancient Middle Eastern manuscripts and fragments, analyses the different methods of translation, and examines the mutual influences between the region’s religious communities. Yavor is currently a post-doctoral fellow at The Arabic Language Academy in Haifa and a research fellow at The Shirley and Leslie Porter School of Cultural Studies at Tel Aviv University.
