Dr. Yaacov Lifshitz

Dr. Yaacov Lifshitz, who holds a PhD in economics and public policy from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, is the former director general of the Israel Ministry of Finance, the former chief economist of the Israel Ministry of Defense, and a lecturer in the Department of Strategy, Diplomacy, and Security at Shalem College. He has been a lecturer of economics at Tel Aviv University, of economics and public policy and management at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, of political science at Bar-Ilan University, and of industrial engineering and management at the Technion. He is the author of The Economics of Producing Defense (2003) and numerous academic articles on the Israeli military and defense industry.
