Dr. Olya Klebanov Akopyan

The David & Judith Lobel Core Curriculum

Dr. Olya Klebanov Akopyan is a scholar of molecular biology and genetics. She is a laboratory researcher specializing in the study of control mechanisms responsible for cell division at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a lecturer in the Lobel Core Curriculum at Shalem College.

Dr. Klebanov Akopyan holds a doctorate in microbiology from the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she also completed post-doctoral work. Currently she focuses on the nuclear and mitochondrial functions of proteins that replicate DNA in eukaryotic cells.
