Dr. Judith Kahn

Dr. Judith Kahn is an economist and finance expert, combining an extensive academic career with rich practical experience in the financial world. She holds a PhD in regional economics and a MA in industrial organization from the Université Aix Marseille III in France.
During her years in academia she served as a senior lecturer and faculty member at leading institutions, including the Hadassah Academic Center, Shalem College, the Technion, and Tel Hai College, where she also served as acting head of the Department of Economics and Management. Alongside her research activities, Dr. Kahn engages in business consulting and financial guidance for households and businesses, specializing in mortgage consulting and budget management. She is a member of the Mortgage Advisors Association and is socially active in the areas of financial literacy, including volunteering at the “Paamonim” organization.
Dr. Kahn’s research focuses on the interface between economy, society, and regional politics:
- Political Economy and Regional Trade: Examining trade agreements and their impact on normalization processes, growth, and employment in the Middle East.
- The Israeli Economy and the Labor Market: Studies dealing with employment participation, inequality, and welfare policy, with an emphasis on unique populations such as the ultra-Orthodox and Arab societies.
- Regional and Spatial Economics: Analysis of regional disparities and growth mechanisms in geographic space.
