Dr. Amichai Amit

Dr. Amichai Amit is a lecturer of ethics at Tel Aviv University, a member of the faculty at the Mandel School for Educational Leadership, and a lecturer in the Lobel Core Curriculum at Shalem College. A researcher of the nature of values and moral justifications with a special interest in environmental ethics, Dr. Amit is also founding partner of two educational ventures: Mashma, which uses small study groups to integrate philosophical questions into everyday life, and Maalot, a nonprofit that aims to increase the public’s understanding of the complexity of climate change. Dr. Amit is the recipient of a master’s degree in philosophy from Tel Aviv University and a doctorate from the University of Chicago, where he taught until 2018.
