Prof. Arie M. Kacowicz
Prof. Arie M. Kacowicz is the Chaim Weizmann Chair in International Relations and a Professor of International Relations at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He has been a faculty member since 1993, and he is the former President of the Israeli Association for International Studies (2017-2021). Prof. Kacowicz is also an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University and teaches in the program for Strategy, Diplomacy, & Security at Shalem College.
His areas of interest include peace studies, with a focus upon the Middle East, Latin American international relations, and globalization and global governance. He is the author and editor of ten books, most of them dealing with peace in international relations, including The Unintended Consequences of Peace: Peaceful Borders and Illicit Transnational Flows (Cambridge University Press, 2021).
