Dr. Amir Yaretzky

Philosophy & Jewish Thought

Amir Yaretzky is a lecturer in the interdisciplinary program in philosophy and Jewish thought at Shalem Academic Center. His research focuses on nineteenth-century German philosophy, particularly the thought of Kant, Hegel, and Schelling, with an emphasis on questions of rationality and irrationality, aesthetics, and the theory of art. His work engages in a critical dialogue with contemporary analytic philosophy. Amir holds a PhD from Tel Aviv University, where he taught until 2019.
