Dr. Gilad Jacobson

Dr. Gilad Jacobson is a neuroscientist. His research has focused on neuronal networks and the ways in which they create a representation of the sensory world and control behaviour.
After obtaining his BSc in Computer Science and Biology (Etgar excellency program) from the Hebrew University, he completed his Ph.D. in computational neuroscience at the same institute. Between 2009-2015 he was a post-doctoral fellow at the Friedrich Miescher Institute, Basel, as a Marie Curie Scholarship an EMBO Fellow. He studied sensory encoding and the reliability of sensory representation.
His current research is expanding to Digital Humanities, where he brings computational tools developed in the sciences for addressing a variety of questions in the Humanities, encompassing literature and history.
