Dr. Noga Bing

Ph.D. in Jewish Thought, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev

Dr. Noga Bing is a scholar of Hassidut and Jewish thought. She is a lecturer in the Department of Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Department of Philosophy and Jewish Thought at Shalem College, and serves as the director of teacher training for the Hartman Institute’s Be’eri Program.

Dr. Bing earned her doctorate in Jewish thought from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and her post-doctorate from the Mofet Institute. Until recently, she taught at the David Yellin College of Education and the Kerem Institute. She is a member of the faculty of the Revivim Honors Teacher-Training Program in Jewish Studies and of the Shluchei Tzibur program for ultra-Orthodox women at the Hebrew University and teaches in the Midrasha (seminary) at Ein Prat. Her book Israeli Hassidism is forthcoming from Bar-Ilan University Press.
